Quentin Smith, Ph.D., has been named the Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ new senior vice president of research. Smith is the current dean of the Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ School of Pharmacy and will serve in that role concurrent with the senior vice president of research


Sixteen months after Texas Tech University System Board of Regents approved its construction on the Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ campus in Amarillo, the new SimCentral building officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 15. 


A group of pharmacy students took in a variety of presentations designed to be insightful and intellectually stimulating at the 2017 Texas Pharmacy Association Conference July 7-9 in San Antonio. 


Hannah Lenamon, an Abilene campus graduate and current pharmacy resident in Amarillo, received the Dean’s Student Leadership Award for the Abilene campus. 


The fall collection cycle for Medication Cleanout, an important community program started by the Texas Panhandle Poison Center in 2009, began Sept. 30 at the Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ campus in Abilene, with events to follow in Lubbock and Amarillo. 


As part its annual boot camp orientation period, the Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ School of Pharmacy welcomed its 157-member Class of 2021 into the pharmacy program with White Coat Ceremonies at the Abilene and Amarillo campuses. 


Three Ïã½¶Ö±²¥-Amarillo employees, including one from the School of Pharmacy, were recognized at the 2017 Texans Caring for Texans award ceremony. 


Alexandria Ybarra, a fourth-year student at the School of Pharmacy’s Abilene campus, was elected the Phi Delta Chi (PDC) south central regional correspondent at PDC’s 71st Grand Council Meeting Aug. 1-5 in Washington, D.C. 


Steven Pass, Pharm.D., has been named regional dean for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ïã½¶Ö±²¥) School of Pharmacy campus in Dallas. 


Md. Sanaullah Sajib and Fatema Tuz Zahra, graduate students from the Amarillo campus, used travel scholarships to attend the North American Vascular Biology Organization Vasculata July 24-27 at the University of Illinois in Chicago. 


To jump start the new academic year, 80 students and 15 faculty members representing all four School of Pharmacy campuses gathered Aug. 18-20 in Abilene for the school’s annual Student Leadership Retreat. 


School of Pharmacy alumnae Quynh Do, Pharm.D., (Class of 2017) and Kelli Anthony, Pharm.D., (Class of 2014) were part of Kroger’s effort to help people who escaped Hurricane Harvey by evacuating to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex


Hayden Stewart and Hayley Brazeale were selected as the top overall team in the Texas Tech Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists' annual Clinical Skills Competition. 


From May 22-June 30, Cameron Lowery and Samantha Gazzola traveled from the Ïã½¶Ö±²¥ Dallas campus to Keio University in Tokyo, Japan as exchange students. In September, they helped the Dallas campus host a pair of Keio students.
