Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ï㽶ֱ²¥) is committed to maintaining an educational, working, and
visiting environment free from discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. In accordance with Title VI,
Title VII, Title IX, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and other applicable laws, Ï㽶ֱ²¥ prohibits
discrimination based on sex, race, color, national origin, and other protected characteristics.

Title VI prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, and shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics
in programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance.

A Title VI violation occurs when unwelcome conduct based on a protected characteristic creates a hostile
environment that is sufficiently severe or pervasive to limit or deny a person’s ability to participate in or benefit
from a Ï㽶ֱ²¥ program or activity.

Report Discrimination or Harassment

Ï㽶ֱ²¥ is committed to responding promptly and equitably to reports of discrimination, harassment, and
retaliation. If you have experienced, witnessed, or become aware of conduct that may violate University policy or federal civil rights laws, we encourage you to submit a report.

Supportive measures may be available regardless of whether a formal complaint is filed.

Filing a Report

You may report concerns even if you are unsure whether the conduct meets a specific legal definition. The
appropriate compliance office will review the information provided and follow up regarding next steps. Reports
may be submitted at any time.

Please note that reports submitted to the Title VI reports are not confidential; however, information will be
shared only with individuals who have a legitimate need to know in order to respond appropriately.
