Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Compliance Symposium
The Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Compliance Symposium is an annual event hosted by the Office of Institutional Compliance (OIC). The Compliance Symposium brings together government, academic, clinical, and research stakeholders to share up-to-date standards and learn about upcoming changes and trends that may affect their practice and outcomes. OIC also invites our rural health compliance colleagues in West Texas to attend so that they may also hear from various compliance professionals and offer a networking opportunity. We have in-person and virtual presentations and discussions from Federal and State government (HHS OCR, OIG, DEA, etc.), Ï㽶ֱ²¥, our teaching hospitals and those in west Texas. This year, our event has expanded into a comprehensive two-and-a-half-day event. On day one we will focus on higher education, and will explore key topics including the Clery Act, FERPA compliance, and research best practices.

Event Overview
Day 1- Higher Education brings together perspectives from across higher education to explore the compliance, operational, and institutional issues that shape our work. Speakers will share their experiences and insights from different areas of higher education, providing attendees with practical perspectives on navigating today’s evolving compliance landscape.
Day 2- Artificial Intelligence brings together speakers with diverse expertise and perspectives on the integration of artificial intelligence. Sessions will explore how AI is being used to transform organizations, enhance everyday work, and create new opportunities for innovation. Speakers will share practical insights and real-world perspectives on where AI is headed and how organizations are putting it into practice.
