Donation Presentation for Amarillo’s SiMCentral
WHAT: The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health (LWBIWH) will present a check for $100,000 to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ï㽶ֱ²¥) at Amarillo for the simulation learning lab, SiMCentral.
WHEN: 10:30 a.m., July 29 (Monday)
WHERE: LWBIWH, 1400 Wallace Blvd.
EVENT: The LWBIWH raised the money during the Power of the Purse on April 17 with the intention of making a donation to help construct a new building for SiMCentral on the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Amarillo campus.
SiMCentral provides clinical simulation research on human patient simulators. It provides training for medical students, current physicians, nursing students and allied health students at Ï㽶ֱ²¥, West Texas A&M University and Amarillo College.
