Kidnapping Victim, School of Medicine Dean to Sign Book about Experience

WHAT: Steven L. Berk, M.D., Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯) executive vice president and provost and dean of the School of Medicine, will sign copies of his new book, β€œAnatomy of a Kidnapping, A Doctor’s Story.”

WHEN: 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 10)

WHERE: Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 6002 Slide Road (South Plains Mall)

EVENT: This book describes Berk’s real-life encounter with a dangerous and armed criminal who kidnapped him from his Amarillo home. It also is a story about doctors and their training, the Aequanimitas principle, mistakes and life and death.

Recently People magazine reviewed the book stating:
