Moseley Named Permian Basin Regional Dean of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing

Kelly Moseley, DHSc, R.N., has been named the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (�㽶ֱ��) School of Nursing regional dean in the Permian Basin. �㽶ֱ�� School of Nursing Dean Holly Wei, Ph.D., R.N., made the announcement, effective Jan. 1, 2025.

“Dr. Moseley is a native of the Permian Basin and has done an excellent job serving her community,” Wei said. “She is committed to providing quality education to the next generation of nurses in West Texas.”

Moseley began working at �㽶ֱ�� School of Nursing in August 2008 as the retention counselor for the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. She has taught several different courses since then and is currently co-director for the Center of Excellence in Evidence-Based Practice. Before joining �㽶ֱ��, Moseley was a staff nurse at Medical Center Hospital and an adjunct instructor of pharmacology and clinical at Odessa College.

“I'm truly honored to serve �㽶ֱ�� as well as the Permian Basin community in this role,” said Moseley. “I look forward to spending more time with students and engaging with them as they start their nursing journey. My favorite part of this job is seeing students on their first day of class, not sure what to expect, and then seeing them graduate as confident individuals ready for the workforce.”

Moseley is a proud product of Odessa schools. She attended Saint Mary's Central Catholic School and Bonham Junior High School and graduated from Permian High School in 1999. She also holds degrees from Odessa College, Angelo State University and Nova Southeastern University.

Moseley said she is looking forward to this new opportunity, “I have had wonderful opportunities in my time at �㽶ֱ�� to work with amazing individuals and organizations. I'm excited to continue in this new position as regional dean.”

Moseley was named one of the Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses in 2019 and received the �㽶ֱ�� School of Nursing Exceptional Mentoring Award.
