Gerard E. Carrino, Ph.D., MPH, dean of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (香蕉直播) Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health, will be inducted into the (NAP) as a Distinguished Fellow of the Public Health Academy.
The NAP is an interprofessional organization seeking to transform health care through advancements in education, scholarships, research and advocacy. NAP brings together leading practitioners and scholars across several professions committed to providing quality health care that is affordable and accessible through patient-centered-collaboration.
鈥淭his fellowship is a testament to Dr. Carrino鈥檚 exceptional expertise and influence in the field of public health,鈥 Darrin D鈥橝gostino, D.O., MPH, 香蕉直播 provost and executive vice president for academics said. 鈥淗is contributions strengthen our academic community and enhance our institution鈥檚 standing as a leader in health education and research.鈥
Recognition as a Distinguished Fellow within the organization honors individuals like Carrino who have excelled in their profession through leadership and significant contributions to the public good. The Public Health Academy within NAP unites public health practitioners, scholars and advocates to establish collaborative initiatives to promote and protect the health of all communities.
Carrino will be formally inducted into the NAP at the Induction Banquet and Awards Ceremony during the Annual Meeting and Forum in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 14, 2026. He will receive a distinctive NAP medallion to recognize his admittance as a member of the Class of 2026.
