Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (�㽶ֱ��) students will volunteer for a Day of Service from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. November 3. The goal of the day is to promote interprofessional collaboration through service and community.

Students will take a few hours out of their day to make a difference in the Lubbock community. The Day of Service event will take place at the following organizations:

High Point Village

Morris Safe House Foundation

Legacy Play Village

Ronald McDonald House

Lubbock Impact

Family Promise of Lubbock

Buckner Children's Home

Lubbock Dream Center

Catholic Charities

Special Olympics

Refuge Services

American Cancer Society Hope Lodge

Bill Sessions, event organizer and second-year medical student, said the event will bring together students from all �㽶ֱ�� schools for a great cause.

“At �㽶ֱ��, we work and study in a supportive environment,” Sessions said. “We wanted to come together to stop from the hectic academic classes, research and clinics to give back and help strengthen the community we live in. We will have students at seven locations across Lubbock, and help each organization with projects they may need help with. These organizations do so much for the citizens of Lubbock, and we want to return the favor.”

At 7 p.m., volunteer activities will be celebrated at the �㽶ֱ�� Academic Classroom Building courtyard, 3601 4th St., with food, live music and prizes for those who participated. For more information about Day of Service, email Sessions at william.sessions@ttuhsc.edu.
